These Terms govern your use of ArcVelvet, a provenance-first creator platform operated by ArcVelvet Studios LLC, a limited liability company registered in Ohio, USA ("ArcVelvet," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. We have written them in plain language and tried to match what the platform actually does — where a number appears here, it is the number the system enforces.
ArcVelvet is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use the platform. Enforcement is fail-safe by design: an account is treated as unverified until adult status is confirmed, and unverified accounts cannot be contacted by other users — there is no way for anyone to message an account that has not been established as an adult. ArcVelvet is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we remove it.
You are responsible for your account and for everything done through it. Keep your credentials secure. You may not impersonate others, operate for someone who is barred from the platform, or evade a suspension. You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, and rights-clearance of everything you publish.
You own your content. Nothing here transfers ownership of your work to us. To run the platform, you grant ArcVelvet a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your content solely to operate and provide the service — to show your work to the audiences and buyers you direct it to, generate provenance records, produce share previews, and deliver what buyers purchase. This license exists only so the platform can function; it ends when you delete the content or your account, except for what must persist for the reasons described in Section 11 and in the Privacy Policy.
To be explicit about what this license is not: we do not sell your content, we do not sublicense it to third parties for their own purposes, and we do not use your creative work to train AI models. That commitment is part of these Terms, not just a policy statement.
ArcVelvet creates content credentials — cryptographically signed, tamper-evident records that attest to who signed a work and when. A credential is evidence of provenance: its validity is a property of the signature over the record, and it cannot be secretly altered after the fact. It is not a guarantee of authorship, originality, legality, or truth of the underlying work — those remain your responsibility as the creator.
Not every item is signed. Some content types (for example, uploaded documents) are provided without an embedded credential, and where that is the case the platform does not represent them as signed. We currently sign under a pilot/development certificate while a production certificate is pending issuance; credentials signed under the pilot certificate remain cryptographically verifiable after the cutover. Our public verifier and trust documentation describe the current signing posture and its known limits.
ArcVelvet uses two separate on-platform units. They are not interchangeable.
AE is the general platform unit. You earn it from other users (tips, sales, unlocks) and can buy it with money. The portion you earn from real economic activity is withdrawable — you can cash it out to a connected bank account, subject to the fees and minimum below. AE that was granted to you or bought in promotional or pack form is non-withdrawable: you can spend it on the platform, but it cannot be cashed out. Both balances are shown separately in your wallet and before any account deletion. AE redeems to cash at a rate of $0.02 per AE; the price you pay to buy AE may differ from that redemption rate, and that difference is platform revenue.
Generation credits are a separate unit used only to pay for on-platform AI generation. They are not AE. They have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn or converted to AE or money, and are consumed when you generate. Current generation prices are shown in the in-app rate sheet.
We take a share of some transactions and a fee when you withdraw earnings to your bank. All in-platform splits are settled in AE — no third-party payment fee applies at the moment of a tip, sale, or unlock. Current fees:

Withdrawal fee. The base withdrawal fee is 10% of the amount withdrawn, taken as the difference between the AE debited and the cash paid out. Unlike the sale fee, this one falls as your creator standing grows — creator-tier and growth discounts reduce it down to a floor of 2.5%, and it never exceeds 10%.
Founding creators pay 0% — both on sales and on withdrawal — for 120 days from the date the benefit is granted, after which standard fees apply.
Fees can stack. A sale is settled entirely in AE and carries only the sale fee — no payment-provider fee applies at the moment of a sale. The withdrawal fee applies later, when you convert your earnings to cash. Both apply in sequence: at standard standing, a rights or edition sale (10% at the sale) followed by a withdrawal (10% base) leaves you with about 81% of the buyer's payment — and more than that as your withdrawal fee falls with standing. A tip you later withdraw carries only the withdrawal fee. Founding creators in their window keep 100%.
These are ArcVelvet's fees. Separately, your payment provider (Stripe) charges its own processing, payout, or currency-conversion fees when you buy AE or withdraw earnings to your bank — the two points where real money moves — under your agreement with it. Those fees are Stripe's, not ours, and are outside our control. We may change our fees with reasonable notice; changes are not retroactive.
Real-money payments and payouts are processed by Stripe. Card and bank details are handled by Stripe on its systems, not ours; we hold only a reference identifier. Your use of payment and payout features is also subject to Stripe's Services Agreement and Connected Account Agreement. ArcVelvet is not responsible for Stripe's holds, restrictions, or enforcement actions on your Stripe account.
You can withdraw your withdrawable AE to a connected bank account once your balance is at least 1,000 AE ($20.00), which is the minimum withdrawal amount. Withdrawals are not instant: the AE is reserved when you request it, the request is reviewed, and the transfer is released after a short settlement hold. You need a connected and payout-enabled Stripe account to withdraw.
In-platform transactions are final. Tips, unlocks, rights purchases, and content sales are delivered immediately and are non-refundable except where required by law, or in cases of verified fraud or a platform error. Generation credits are non-refundable once spent. Purchases of AE are final. If you believe a transaction was made in error, contact us at arcvelvet@arcvelvet.com within 48 hours and we will review it. Chargebacks initiated instead of contacting us may result in suspension.
You can request deletion at any time from your settings. Deletion is scheduled 30 days out and you can cancel during that window. On the deletion date:
Please read this before you delete. The minimum withdrawal amount is $20 (1,000 AE). If you have earned withdrawable AE that is below that minimum, you cannot cash it out through the normal withdrawal flow, and on deletion it follows the escrow-then-forfeit path above — which means it can be lost if you do not recover it within 12 months. While your account is active, that balance is not lost: you can spend it on the platform (tips, unlocks, generation). If you are near the minimum and intend to close your account, consider spending your balance down first. Your withdrawable and non-withdrawable balances are shown in the deletion preview before you confirm anything.
Signed content with an associated sale is preserved with your name replaced by "Account Deleted" so buyers can keep verifying their purchases; the cryptographic record cannot be altered after the fact. The full detail of what is deleted, anonymized, or retained on deletion is in our Privacy Policy.
Operate honestly. Do not manipulate the platform's systems, artificially inflate signals, abuse the AE economy, or engage in fraud, harassment, or spam. You are responsible for the legality of what you publish.
All lawful content is permitted, and creators must self-tag adult (NSFW) content accurately. ArcVelvet uses automated detection to identify and remove illegal content, and enforcement is automatic and immediate.
Zero tolerance. Any content that sexualizes minors in any form is strictly prohibited and results in immediate permanent account termination, removal of all content, and reporting to the relevant authorities.
You may publish AI-generated work, including work generated on ArcVelvet. You must not misrepresent synthetic media as authentic where doing so would deceive, and you must disclose synthetic or AI-generated origin when it is flagged or requested. Provenance credentials record what the platform can attest about how a work was made; they do not substitute for your own honest disclosure.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or where an account poses a risk to the platform or its users. For serious violations, including fraud or the prohibited content in Section 11, termination is immediate. Where an account is terminated for fraud or abuse, we may deactivate and restrict it before final removal. Deactivation involves a holding period (currently 30 days) during which access is restricted and any AE balance connected to the violation may be held. Where the conduct harmed other users, we may apply held balances toward compensating those users. We do not treat balances held under this section as our own revenue. Withdrawable AE that you earned legitimately and that is unconnected to the violation is handled under the account-closure terms in Section 10. Fraud and abuse matters are handled individually, and a review may take longer than the standard period where an investigation requires it. Suspension does not erase your ledger record, which is retained as an immutable audit trail.
We respect intellectual property rights and respond to valid notices of claimed infringement. If you believe content on ArcVelvet infringes your copyright, see our DMCA policy for how to submit a notice. We may remove infringing content and terminate repeat infringers.
ArcVelvet is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and we do not guarantee any level of reach, discoverability, earnings, or audience outcome.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ArcVelvet Studios LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the platform will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid to ArcVelvet in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, U.S.A., without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
We may update these Terms as the platform evolves or the law requires. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
